It seems to be that the Republicans will be winning this election. Grimes held up a great fight against now majority leader, Mitch McConnell. McConnell has a strong lead of four points-ahead of Alison Grimes. The gender gap has now vanished between the two seeing as McConnell is gaining votes from both men and women. Howard Koplowitz of the International Business Times wrote, "Not only does McConnell still attract support from many more Democrats than Grimes receives from Republicans, but the gender gap has pretty much vanished with McConnell now leading Grimes among both men and women.”
So, McConnell pretty much has the senate seat to call his own (again).
It's not only midterms for Kentucky; it's midterm elections for many states in the US. Go out and vote to show your support for your candidate. Good luck to all those running.
