We Are the Avatar

For those who are not familiar with my term of "avatar", it is not the term that I'm using to describe some picture or person as a video game character. "Avatar" means that it is a manifestation of a deity or released soul in bodily form on earth. In the news, they've recently discovered that plants have their own "internet highway" in the form of mycelia. Mycelia are in the bottom parts of fungi, informally known as a mushroom. These little "wires" connect all plants together in helping create benefits for both the plants and fungi. Ever hear of the movie Avatar? James Cameron, the creator of the movie, portrays this land in which every living thing is connected. From the plants, to the animals, to the avatars. In reality, this entire concept may not be so far fetched. All of the plant organisms are connected; both now and in the movie. The plant organisms all communicate together by "some kind of electro-chemical communication between the roots of trees" . Today, plants are doing the exact same thing. They are working together, these little mycellium are spread throughout the soil. We are all aware that plant life is actually alive; but not so much in the sense that it can communicate with other plant life and connect with other plants. Sounds more like a weird dating site than it does as a "wood wide web." So, the question we ask ourselves is, are we the avatar? Are we just a more complex version of the plant? They do the same as we do, breathe, consume some sort of nutrition, and now they communicate. Maybe we are reincarnated into plant life. That is the point of the "avatar". Watch the movie and then compare; I could be blogging something that's either a "weeded" truth, or a "mossy" theory.
