The Ugly Truth
Everyone is well aware of the death of Michael Brown and everything with Ferguson. Personally, my opinion may not be what everyone wants to hear. It's kind of an ugly truth I suppose. The entirety of this case is that it has turned into a "racial" thing. That's the ugly truth here. Nobody is really caring that somebody has died; it's turned into a fact that it was a white police officer that "murdered" a black teenager. The thing that bothers me the most is the fact that people are being slammed and bashed for having an opinion on this trial. I've personally seen people attacking people personally and not their argument. That is not how you debate and if anyone attended a public speaking class, I'm sure they'd be well aware of this. Just because I'm a white female saying that I agree with the decision I'm automatically called a "racist" and other rude names. That's not fair at all. My take on it goes from the standpoint of that I DO NOT CARE what race you are. If you're partaking in criminal/suspicious activity, you better expect that you will get police confrontation and something will be done about it. Do I believe that Wilson should've fired at Brown 12 times? No, I don't think anyone should be shot at that many times if they start to surrender. But, if a man whom is bigger than me physically, because that is what he is, he is not a "little kid" as some people were saying; came running at me, then you better believe that I will point my gun at you and take you down. Not because I want to, but because I'm ensuring that I'm going back to my family at the end of the night. The people of Ferguson looting their communities, burning the American flag and whatnot is not a "protest". They're acting like animals out there and that is the most pointless thing of all. What do you gain by ruining your own community? They're not going back on the decision. This entire thing has just turned into a huge racial issue that causes escalating debates, rude comments, and ridiculous fights. I don't bash anyone for their opinion, so I expect the same. I repeat that I do not feel offended by anyone's opinions because that's how they feel about the case and I really respect that. Don't make rude comments either because everyone is entitled to an opinion. There is no need to get defensive over a case you cannot change.

And as a BLACK woman i totally agree! There's no way to know what happened. Because of the three people that were there, one is dead, one can't keep his story straight and the other is traumatized by the event and the harsh things the world is saying and doing. Honestly who really cares about what happened to Mike Brown anymore? That's the real question. Because right now everyone only cares that a white man killed a black teenager. And THAT'S the blunt ugly truth!
